South Korea's Agricultural and Fishery Marketing Corporation will tender to buy 22,557 tonnes of milled rice on January 12 next year, a corporation official said on Wednesday. The tender is to meet part of its 2005 import quota under a World Trade Organisation agreement.
Of the total, the state-run agency planned to buy 12,767 tonnes from China, 5,504 tonnes from the United States, 3,293 tonnes from Thailand and 993 tonnes from Australia, the official said.
