PNSC to purchase used ship

Pakistan National Shipping Company (PNSC) will purchase a used ship, with a weight capacity of 65,000 tonnes, worth $50 million. Chairman PNSC, Vice Admiral Tauqeer Naqvi said that it would be the biggest ship of PNSC in dry cargo.
The ship was manufactured by Japan and at present was owned by a Greek company, he added.
According to him, 10 percent of the total price of the ship had been paid.
PNSC has 14 ships in its fleet and with the addition of the new ship, the fleet's total capacity would be 6,36,000 tonnes. The new ship has been named Kaghan.
