MMA protests against changes in education curricula

Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Friday observed Black Day and held protest demonstrations outside major mosques in the city against planned deletion of procedure of offering prayers from textbooks of Islamiat and changes in education curricula.
Protest demonstrations were held outside major mosques after Jumma prayers in Gulshane-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Federal B. Area, Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, PECHS, Bahadurabad, Saddar, Lyari, Garden, Baldia, Orangi, Malir, SITE and other areas of the city.A large number of people attended the demonstrations and chanted slogans against President of Pakistan, Federal Education Minister, US President and vowed not to let anybody change Islamic identity of Pakistan and secularise the country.
Speaking to protesters in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, MMA Sindh President MNA Asadullah Bhutto said deletion of Namaz and way to offer it on US directives was a clear attack on Islam in Pakistan.
