Governor Punjab, Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) has urged the bureaucrats to use their professional skills for implementation of social and economic policies of the government and create such an environment where people could improve their business and the country could grow further.
He made this observation while addressing the graduation function of 88th advance course in public sector management at the National Institute of Public Administration (Nipa), here on Saturday.
The governor said the government has provided strength to the country's political system, while its administrative policies have made things easier for layman. "Our educational system is of international standard and our skilful people are happy than ever before. But to maintain this positive change, people at helms of affairs have to fulfil their responsibilities," he observed.
The governor maintained that the bureaucrats are duty bound to expand their knowledge to keep pace with the new ground realities. He asked the participants of the course to use the skills they achieved during this course in their professional life for bringing a positive change in the society.
