Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 162,453 tonnes of cargo including 149,753 tonnes import and 12,700 tonnes export cargo including 408 containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 97,119 tonnes dry cargo including 49,406 tonnes general cargo; 19,161 tonnes fertiliser; 2,460 tonnes rice; 17,392 tonnes coal; 8,700 tonnes steel/scrap and 65,334 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely Eax Sanctity, Degat Blue, E.O.S-1, Elli, Ilse Wulff, Pac Antlia, ASO and Rambler sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Ilse Wulff, Thor Jupiter, MT Swat and Sagaing are currently at the berths.
One ship namely Spar Capella expected to sail on Monday, while two more vessels viz Ever Guide and Meng Hai are expected to sail on Tuesday.
One ship namely Santa Fe due to arrive on Monday, while six more vessels viz Chemroad Mega, Apl Jeddah, Kota Waris, Emerald, Heng Tai and Corinthiakos are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 22,221 tonnes crud oil; 4,619 tonnes edible oil; 6,234 tonnes canola seeds; 1,366 tonnes wheat and 26,520 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely Denderah Rickmers, Lissy Cshulte and MSC Socotra sailed out to sea during the report period.
A total of three vessels viz Al-Maqwa, Fumay and Golden Star are currently at the outer anchorage.
Container ship Sealand Freedom due to take berth on Monday.
Two vessels viz Sealand Freedom and MV Fun Niu Shan with sulphur and containers due to arrive on Monday.
