In Short: WorldTel to begin Bangladesh operation by March

UK-based telecommunications company WorldTel Ltd, the lone licence holder for land phone connections in Bangladesh, will start operations by next March, a company official said on December 28.
WorldTel will provide around 150,000 connections in the first phase, investing around $150 million, the WorldTel official in Dhaka, who asked not to be named, told Reuters.
He said that although there was a plan to begin operations by December, the delay in getting permission for microwave frequency held back the launch.
