Ban on tent export lifted

The government has lifted the ban on tent exports following the completion of the supply of 300,000 tents for quake survivors. Secretary Textile, Masood Alam Rizvi told a private TV channel that export of tents was banned in the backdrop of its tremendous local requirements that had erupted after the October 8 earthquake.
The local industry was given a target of supplying 300,000 tents to meet the requirements of quake affected people, he added.
