Representative people belonging to various walks of life in Sindh province have expressed grave concern over publication of blasphemous caricatures and similar other incidents in the European countries.
In this regard they stressed the need for collective efforts of Muslim Ummah, legislation on international level, research in the academic and research institutions of Muslim countries on the causes which lead to such incidents and academic and opinion-making dialogue world over.
According to further details of the meeting which continued for three hours under the chairmanship of Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan at Governor House on Tuesday, the participants strongly condemned the publication of blasphemous cartoons and agreed upon adopting a joint line of action.
They appreciated the governor's initiative of holding this representative meeting and providing an opportunity to participants to openly come out with their views to highlight this important issue.
By taking this initiative, they said, the governor provided a start to positive and result oriented activities and dialogue.
