Sony unveils LCD TV 'Bravia'

Sony Gulf-Pakistan on Wednesday unveiled a new range of seven flat panel LCD televisions, which leverages Sony's technological expertise to deliver outstanding picture quality.
The most comprehensive LCD television line-up ever to be launched in this region, these new generation LCD televisions are introduced under a new Sony TV brand "Bravia". Standing for "Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture", Bravia represents Sony's vision of providing products with superior resolution for the digital and flat panel era which will touch all customers.
Speaking at a press conference at a local hotel here on Wednesday, Masaru Tamagawa, Managing Director, Sony Gulf FZE said that Sony has laid a strong foundation in displaying technologies since the launch of Trinitron and they are now leveraging their strengths on the latest range of LCD televisions, which utilise Sony's panels incorporating the latest generation LCD technology.
He said that the new generation LCD panels enable large screen size LCD televisions and offer significantly higher picture resolution and superior brightness required for higher quality image reproduction as compared to plasma television.
"With the growing popularity of high definition consumer video cameras and digital cameras and the impending introduction of high definition broadcasts, high definition video recorders and next generation gaming devices like PalyStation 3, consumers expect very high standards of television picture reproduction", Tamagawa said adding that "Bravia" is built to deliver these exacting specifications and with the new "Bravia" brand, Sony aims to achieve number one position in the flat panel television market in Pakistan.
