Ten well-equipped Mitsubishi Pajero ambulances from Japan are waiting for clearance at the Karachi Port, this was stated by Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh (PRCS) chairman Major General Mohammad Bashir Khan (Retd) on Wednesday.
In a briefing to media men he said that these 10 air-conditioned ambulances, which were equipped with the latest gadget, would be available for vulnerable people in disaster, emergency, war and peace. "These ambulances cost Rs 30 million but the CBR and Karachi Port have given relaxation on humanitarian ground," he said, adding "we would like to disseminate the knowledge regarding performance and use of the said fleet of ambulances for the needy."
The PRCS will give two ambulances to Sindh district branches. People could get the ambulance services at the reasonable prices, he said and thanked Sindh governor Ishratul Ibad, who helped the Red Crescent get the ambulances.
