The Pakistan Financial Services Sector Reform Programme (PFSSRP) recently held a co-ordination and dialogue committee meeting on Entrepreneurship Development-Role of Industry and Academia.
The meeting was attended by all the stakeholders including government institutions, donor groups, academic circles and industry followed by an open discussion on government policies and their experiences in the sectors concerned, said a press release on Monday.
The meeting started with the address of Michael Dale, the Head of Operations, Delegation of the European Commission in Islamabad followed by presentation by Dr Nasser Ali Khan, Director, Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar and Professor Iqbal M. Khan, President, Sure Institute, Lahore.
The PFSSRP, a programme funded by the European Union, commenced its activities in May 2004 with the objectives to support the government of Pakistan's reforms in financial services by creating additional resources for the reinforcement of social sector development under Poverty Reduction Strategy Programme, notably through support to MFIs and SMEs.
