Pakistan Day arrangements being finalised

The arrangements for observing Pakistan Day on March 23, 2006 are being given final shape by the federal and provincial governments, reports UPP special correspondent.
The PML is planning a major event at Minar-e-Pakistan on March 23, 2006 in this connection. For this, discussions between the federal government, PML leaders and provincial Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi have been held and would be finalised by the 16th of March 2006, it is gathered.
It may be mentioned that in the grounds that now have the Minar-e-Pakistan, the Pakistan Resolution was adopted in the Muslim League session under the Presidentship of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on March 23, 1940.
