The Federal Government has announced 'Grow More' competition for the wheat growers for 2005-2006 season. The interested wheat growers have been advised to submit their applications to their concerned Agriculture Officer (Extension) up to March 22, 2006.
A spokesman of the agriculture department said here on Friday that certificates and shields would be awarded in addition to presenting tractor, thrasher, seed drill and seed grader etc to the best growers who would harvest maximum yield by employing best practices. In this connection growers having less than 12.5 acres of land will have to offer two acres of their cultivated land while in rain fed areas, the grower laving less than five acres of land will have to offer one acre of cultivated land for this competition.
