A reader from Gujranwala has commented that he sent his email to Information Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmed at his official email address information@pak.gov.pk which came back undelivered with a "Delivery failure notification".
This phenomenon is not restricted to the Information Minister. Last year I sent more than two dozen emails to the Interior Minister and Interior Secretary which all came back undelivered. Recently a friend sent some emails to General Manager, Phones, Gujranwala, on email address gmgtr@ptcl.com.pk, which all came back.
Emails sent by me to the State Bank at their web site published info@sbp.org.pk are coming back. Emails during the current and last month sent to PTCL at their emails ptcl@ptcl.com.pk, irfran@ptcl.compk are coming back. PTCL web site currently gives its Islamabad Corporate Customer Service email contact as 3cisb@ptcl.com.pk All emails sent on this address have come back. Emails addressed to the National Bank of Pakistan on enquiries@npb.com.pk, ceo@nbp.com.pk, etc all have come back. Emails sent to Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat at wmshq@com.pk have come back. A new trend is coming up with these official web sites. They keep on changing their email contacts perhaps with an intent that these ordinary people should not be able to contact them.
Practically there is hardly any email address to contact PTCL headquarters. I have separately addressed the Chairman PTCL to let me have his or PTCL headquarters main email address but I know no response will come. The same request I made to the President, National Bank, but without any response.
