Arbab criticised for remarks against Benazir

Pakistan People's Party leaders here have lashed out at Sindh Chief Minister for his remarks against party chairperson Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Deputy Secretary-General of PPP, Nasim Chaudhry, MNA Liaquat Ali Dogar, and Dr Muhammad Javed Siddiqui, MPA, have stated that General Pervez Musharraf should take notice of the utterance of Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim who was trying to elevate his tiny stature by commenting on the future of popular leaders like Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.
The PPP leaders said that it was really strange that an ignored private jail runner, patronised by electoral financers and some not so invisible forces has started casting aspersions on the national leadership. "Arbab and his cronies will have to pay for each physical and verbal assault on the supporters of the PPP," they added.
"Arbab played in the hands of every dictator in the past and drew power from people who always wanted sycophants on their side in their fight against the democratic forces of the country. Such people have nothing in future except public humiliation and hate. Thus it is not the dark future waiting for the popular leadership but in fact for stooges of Arbab Rahim's ilk", they added.
The PPP leaders said that characters like Arbab Rahim in the past remain buried in the dark pages of Sindh's history and Arbab was also going to the same destiny as his ilk's predecessors had been to.
