Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, on Wednesday announced to regularise the staff of Bhit Shah Cultural Centre besides announcing an amount of Rs 0.5 million to be disbursed among the artists of Sindh.
He made the announcements while addressing the inaugural ceremony of 262nd annual Urs celebrations of Sindh's Sufi saint Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai in Bhit Shah. He said Sindh is the land of Sufis and served as a gateway for Islam to enter the sub-continent. Paying tributes to Shah Bhitai, he called for translating the Sufi saint's poetry in Urdu and English besides furthering the research work on his life.
