Civil Society Human and Institutional Development Programme (Chip) was launched here on Sunday. Addressing the launching ceremony, Country Director, Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation (SDC), Ms Kaethy Schneitter said Pakistan and Switzerland signed a co-operation agreement in 1966.
The Swiss technical assistance mainly addressed vocational training and horticulture promotion. She said the programme was started for expansion of projects in various sectors including agriculture, forestry community village development, small hydro electricity and community management.
Director Programme, Chip, Ms Lubna Hashmat said that Chip being a non-profit organisation has improved and strengthened functional capacity of individual, organisations and institutions.
