Special anti-terrorism court put off the proceeding in an application of President Wahdat Road Traders Association Khuda Baksh till March 25, and directed the office to produce copies of the case to the petitioner's counsel.
The court passed these orders when SP Saddar (Investigation) informed the court that the case file of the applicant had been misplaced but the investigating officer was misleading the court about the applicant.
The court, after hearing the SP, directed him to produce the case file to the petitioner's counsel and rose for the day. The applicant was arrested by the respondent police officials on April 2, 2005 on the charges of provoking the traders for holding protest.
He had secured his bail on April 3, 2005 but later the court rejected his bail, when the respondent police officials informed the court that the accused has left abroad. The applicant approached the High Court and obtained protected bail.
