President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Wednesday discussed general political environment in the country and the state of the national economy.
They also reviewed progress of the ongoing development projects in the country, particularly in the federally administered tribal areas (Fata) and Balochistan. The two leaders said the completion of the development projects would begin a new era of socio-economic progress in these areas.
Prime Minister Aziz informed the President that the government is taking effective steps for wellbeing of the people and to ensure provision of food items at affordable prices to the common man.
