Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 120,947 tonnes of cargo including 84,017 tonnes import and 36,930 tonnes export cargo including 5,778 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 68,137 tonnes dry cargo including 59,136 tonnes general cargo; 4,543 tonnes fertiliser; 1,709 tonnes rice; 1,561 tonnes cement; 350 tonnes coal; 838 tonnes sulpher and 52,810 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Two ships namely Hanjin Busan and MT Johar sailed out to sea during the report period. Seven vessels viz Kota Waris, Apl Cairo, Spirit-II, BBC Greece, Sinar Bontang, Satha Bhum and Med Diginity are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Kota Waris, Apl Cairo and Champion Pioneer expected to sail on Wednesday, while three more ships namely Spirit-II, Thor Captain and Al-Rabab expected to sail on Thursday.
Three ships namely Al Marwah, Hyundai Advance and Trust Busan due to arrive on Wednesday, while seven vessels viz Chem Jasmine, Golden Jane, OC Wisdom, Energy Falcon, Orionis, Shang Yuan Men and Med Carrara are due to arrive on Thursday. Four ships namely Shintoku, Conti Harmony, Kota Tabah and Sanhope are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 33,816 tonnes diesel oil; 5,258 tonnes seeds; 5,541 tonnes chemicals; 14,717 tonnes iron ore and 39,984 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MV Ocean Thi, CV Nedlloyd Muscat, Msc Austria and MT Stolt Tenacity sailed out to sea during the report period, while two more vessels viz CV Asian Trader and MT Yanaseni are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
A total of four vessels viz Asian Trader, Global Trader, Islamabad and Diler-4 are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely Asian Trader, Indonesia Star, Thuringia Express, Global Trader and Diler-4 due to take berths on Wednesday.
MV Islamabad due to arrive to load rice on Wednesday, while three more ships namely CV Al-Mariyh, Msc America and MT Eurydice with containers and crude oil are due to arrive on Thursday.
