12 fishermen swim back to shore as boat sinks

A fishing boat with 12 fishermen on board capsized near Charna area some 20 nautical miles off Karachi coast on Saturday. According to officials in Maritime Security Agency (MSA), all 12 fishermen on board 'Al-Zahra' launch, had been traced.
These fishermen managed to swim to the shore and were traced near Hubco Power Plant, officials said. Earlier, unconfirmed reports had created confusion that two of the 14 fishermen on-board had managed to reach the shore while 12 others were reported missing.
The search operation by Pakistan Navy was called off after the fishermen were located near Hubco Power Plant. However, the boat could not be saved.
