ISPR refutes news item

26 Mar, 2006

A spokesman of ISPR has rejected the report that appeared in a section of the press stating that the planes dropped leaflets in both South and North Waziristan on March 23 urging tribesmen to beware of foreigners and local supporters who have allied themselves with the "Yahood Aur Hanood".
The spokesman said that the subject leaflets in Urdu and Pashto carrying title "Warning" and bearing a prayer at the end have not been dropped by the Army Authorities.
It is a mere propaganda initiated by miscreants for their vested interests and is part of their overall disinformation campaign.
