Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that Pakistan's close ties with Bangladesh were contributing towards peace and stability in South Asia.
In a message of felicitations to his counterpart Begum Khaleda Zia on the national day of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz extended warmest greetings.
He said Pakistan attaches immense importance to its relations with Bangladesh, both in the bilateral context as well as in the framework of Saarc. "Our two countries share a strong and forward-looking relationship based on common interest and mutual benefits. We believe that close and friendly Pakistan -Bangladesh relationship is significantly contributing towards peace and stability in South Asia," he added.
The Prime Minister referring to the recent visit of Begum Khaleda Zia to Pakistan said, it was instrumental in further enhancing the already existing excellency cordial relations between the two countries. "I am sure that under your able and wise leadership Saarc would achieve the goals envisioned by Shaheed General Zia ur Rehman," he added.
The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes for the health and happiness and continued progress and wellbeing of the people of Bangladesh.
