Australian dollar lower

The Australian dollar failed to unshackle itself from the woes of the New Zealand dollar, remaining close to multi-month lows against major currencies despite a slip in the US dollar.
One Aussie bought $0.7076/81 after earlier testing an 18-month low of $0.7061 compared with $0.7108/12 late here on Friday.
The Aussis currency is extremely oversold on charts and at levels that would normally be a buy signal, while commodity prices continue to plateau just under February's multi-decade highs, normally an Aussie positive.
