The Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) said on Monday it had committed to sell 1,161 tonnes of cotton in the week which ended on March 25.
Alcotexa figures showed sales of 65 tonnes of Giza 45, 75 tonnes of Giza 70, 49 tonnes of Giza 88, 897 tonnes of Giza 86, 25 tonnes of Giza 89 and 50 tonnes of export type.
The new commitments bring Alcotexa's export commitments for the season, which began in September, to 76,865.5 tonnes of cotton worth $181.96 million, an Alcotexa official said.
