Three die as Pakistan Steel buses collide head on

At least three people were killed and 25 others injured when two buses of Pakistan Steel met a fatal head-on collision on Tuesday at Y-Junction near Steel Structure Yard of Pakistan Steel, Bin Qasim.
Buses drivers- Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Murad - and Maqsood Ahmed, head constable at Bin Qasim Police Station, lost their lives in the accident. More than 25 persons, including regular employees and daily-wagers of Pakistan Steel, received minor or serious injuries.
According to details, Pakistan Steel bus bearing Token No 2033 heading towards Steel Town after dropping general shift personnel smashed into general shift route Bus No W-32, which was bringing general shift employees from Landhi-Korangi.
The injured were rushed to Emergency Medical Centre located within Main Plant and Pakistan Steel Hospital, Steel Town, from where two seriously injured employees, Sultan and Haseeb, were immediately shifted to Liaquat National Hospital, where their condition is reported stable.
PS Chairman Lieutenant General Abdul Qayyum (Retd) visited Pakistan Steel Hospital and Emergency Medical Centre within few minutes of the fatal accident and issued on spot directives for speedy medical cover.
He gave necessary orders to departments concerned for shifting bodies to their native towns. The inquiry has been ordered to establish cause of accident.
