Mustafa briefs foreign investors about law and order

City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said the interest being shown by foreign investors in Pakistan and Karachi in particular, is reflective of their confidence in peaceful conditions and development activities in Karachi.
He stated this in a briefing with regard to investment opportunities in the city in the presence of State Minister of Finance, Dubai, Kafan Bin Jarbash and Pakistan's State Minister for Privatisation Umer Ahmed Ghumman here at a local hotel.
Nazim Karachi, while welcoming the visitors from Dubai, assured that foreign investment made in Karachi would not only be provided every protection, but all required facilities be given to investors.
Referring to Expo-2006, he pointed out that because of obtaining conducive environment here, mega international events were being organised here, while commercial and business activities were on their peak.
He said day and night work was going on reconstruction and development projects and flyovers and under-passes being constructed at a number of vantage locations.
"Everything in Karachi including law and order is much better now. It is the most important city of Pakistan with highest business activities here as being a city of 17.50 million people, it offers itself as a major market", Mustafa Kamal said.
He informed that this city alone contributed 68 percent revenue to government exchequer and provided bright investment prospects.
On the occasion, Kafan Bin Jarbash referred to detailed exchange of views he had here for investment in Pakistan and particularly in Karachi, and said we were examining as to which sectors should be invested in. He said our meeting would hopefully produce best outcome.
He observed that all kind of opportunities were available here for business.
He described Karachi as economic capital of Pakistan and viewed that investment made here would cast impact on the entire region.
State Minister for Privatisation Umer Ahmed Ghumman said foreign investors were coming to Pakistan in a big way and federal government was extending all Possible encouragement to them.
