Passing away of a legend

31 Mar, 2006

Muhammad Ali, a legend of the Pakistan film industry, has passed away leaving behind a vacuum which could hardly be filled. Besides being an outstanding movie star, he had been a passionate philanthropist looking after orphaned children and such institutions without yearning for a name or fame.
He had been also in the forefront to contribute to marriage expenses of have-not families of the would-be brides.
Muhammad Ali had been a political conscious person and remained attached to ZAB throughout his incarceration. Ms Zeba Ali always remained an exemplary partner of her late husband.
He had acted in Indian movie 'Clerk' which created an impressive debut for him in India. But owing to our vilification he had to turn down the lucrative offers from Bollywood later, without expressing his anguish.
A void had been created in the ranks of movie super stars.
