Three proclaimed offenders were killed in an encounter with police in village Bulleh-Wahan (Khangarh) on Friday morning, while another three were arrested. They were wanted in a murder case.
According to police, on a tip-off a police party, headed by Inspector Rehan Rasul, raided village Bulleh-Wahan in Muzaffargarh district early in the morning.
Initially the police warned them to surrender but the proclaimed offenders reportedly opened fires on police, which it retaliated with the result that two outlaws were killed and another was injured who also died on way to hospital.
They were identified as Muhammad Sharif Pahur (35) son of Ghulam Muhammad, Muhammad Nawaz (28) and Muhammad Ramzan alias Billo (30) son of Muhammad Khan.
Sharif's son Muhammad Rashid (13), Yasin alias Buggho (22) son of Rahim Bakhsh, and Muhammad Ashfaq son of Muhammad Ali (22) were arrested.
DPO Muzaffargarh Muhammad Tahir said, "The proclaimed offenders were involved in murder of Khadim Hussain and a case, No 269/2005, was registered against them.
A constable, Wahid Bakhsh, was also injured and the police seized 7 mm rifles (7), Klashinkov (one),Mausers (6), and six bags of ammunition.
