Although Americans are democracy loving, but they support the dictators, and instead of acting upon the law and constitution watch their vested interests in these countries.
These views were expressed by the speakers at a seminar arranged by Communist Party against the policies of US President Bush, here on Friday. Among others, President Supreme Court Bar Association Malik Muhammad Qayyum, former presidents SCBA Abid Hassan Minto and Hamid Khan addressed the seminar.
The speakers were of the view that the US is weakening the Muslims politically, economically and religiously. They said that dictators in Muslim countries are safeguarding the American interests. They said that political parties in Pakistan are also responsible for the present state of affairs in the country. They added that leadership from middle class could put the country on the way of progress and prosperity.
They said that America never fulfils its promises made with those countries, whose rulers safeguard their interests.
They called upon the democratic forces to join hands for supremacy of law and revival of 1973 constitution and true democracy in the country.
