Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Syed Raza Ali Gillani, has directed the officials of Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHTPA) to fully cooperate with the private sector to ensure completion of those housing schemes, which are being constructed in accordance with law.
He further directed them to keep a vigilant eye on residential colonies being constructed in violation of rules and regulations so that necessary action could be taken against the delinquents.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency. Secretary Housing Khalid Sultan and Director General PHTPA Shahzad Jamil and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
The minister said the government is evolving a comprehensive plan regarding construction of modern residential colonies so as to create job opportunities in small cities, which would check migration of people of these areas to big cities.
