The Lahore Electricity Supply Company (Lesco) has strengthened the distribution system by installing 3,475 more transformers from 10-KVA to 30-KVA capacities, under its 'system augmentation programme.'
According to Lesco officials, in the summer season, the use of electric appliances like air conditioners and room coolers increased, therefore, the company had planned comprehensive programme well before time. Because of this arrangement, the company will be able to ensure minimisation of power fluctuations, they added.
Lesco has already fixed a budget for the installation of new transformers and for extension of grid stations under its system augmentation programme.
