I draw the attention of the concerned authority, including the Minister, to look into the issue of reckless driving to enforce a law that protects the interests of the owners of the vehicles and as well as the victims.
We are well aware that the only reason for the death of innocent citizens is reckless driving. Our traffic police doesn't handle the situation which is why the loss of innocent lives is so frequent.
As a result of the deaths the general public is enraged and burns or damages vehicles.
My question is why we should burn any vehicle, for no one's life can be brought back.
The government should enforce a law that the one who is guilty of reckless driving causing loss of life or injury should feed the victims' family depending upon requirement, till their children reach an age that they can stand on their feet and earn for their family.
I suggest a minimum payment of Rs 3000. This is not compensation, but is to be considered as proving partial support to the family of the victims. Any one caught red-handed burning/damaging the vehicles should be punished.
Some way is needed to take care of the transporters' property and victims in the accidents.
