The lineup of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports slipped to 20 from 21 a week ago, shipping agent Williams said.
In a report, it said eight vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, down from 11 the previous week. There were no vessels in Paranagua, like last week.
In north-eastern Brazil, seven vessels were lined up at Maceio, up from six the previous week, and at Recife there were three ships, down from four a week ago.
The smaller north-east sugar cane harvest is virtually over, while the center-south, which accounts for 85 percent of national output, started cutting cane this month.
Santos accounted for 50 percent of sugar tonnage being loaded in the ports of Brazil.
