District Nazim, Lahore, Mian Amer Mahmood on Saturday inaugurated various projects worth Rs 142.7 million in different housing schemes of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
One of the projects was construction of LDA Model School for boys and girls each in Johar Town over an area of 11-kanal, which would cost Rs 24 million. The school would be comprised of 15 classrooms for primary sections, and 21 classrooms for secondary sections. Besides, the new block would have physics, chemistry, biology and computer laboratories, library, staff room and personal staff office. This project will cost Rs 33.7 million and would be completed in 12 months.
The Nazim also inaugurated the third phase of the construction project under which boys and girls' blocks for high classes would be built at a cost or Rs 34.8 million. He also inaugurated another project costing Rs 30 million under which all the LDA offices would be merged in a building at Johar Town.
This project would be completed in one year. He also inaugurated central mosque of the LDA Avenue-1 housing scheme, which would be completed in eight months at a cost of Rs 10 million. Another project of community center at LDA Avenue-1 housing scheme has also been inaugurated by the Nazim, which would cost Rs 10.2 million.
