The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday adjourned till April 13, the proceedings in a petition filed by a citizen Shah Muhammad Khan against advisor to chief minister Punjab, Mian Munir Ahmed, as law officer did not produce the relevant record before the court.
The court directed the law officer to produce the record on next date of hearing. The petitioner had challenged the appointment of the respondent Mian Munir as advisor to chief minister with contention that he was punished in contempt of court case by Supreme Court of Pakistan for attacking on the apex court in Nawaz Sharif's regime.
The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, had restrained the respondent from using the office of advisor to chief minister and also directed the law officer to assist the court.
