One village one product programme soon: National Assembly speaker

National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain has said that due to business-friendly policies of the government the pace of activities has further been accelerated in every sector of the economy in the country.
A large number of foreign investors as well as overseas Pakistanis had showed their willingness for investing in different industrial fields in Pakistan, he added.
Talking to reporters here on Sunday, the speaker said that in order to further intensify economic activities, the government would soon initiate "One village one product" programme.
Through this programme, he said, the village products would be given a big boost nationally and internationally leading to increase in employment opportunities in the country.
The prime concept of the project was to encouraging people to produce local products using their home-grown skill and expertise besides the programme would generate employment opportunities for millions of people, he added. Chaudhary Amir Hussain said the government was making adequate efforts for expanding industrial development aimed at ensuring strong industrial base in the country.
The speaker urged upon the journalist community to work for eradication of social evils, vanishing the misconceptions about Islam developed in western countries as well as the menace of terrorism.
