Bugti says no link with surrenderers

10 Apr, 2006

The Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Chief Nawab Muhammad Akbar Khan Bugti on Sunday made it clear that he had no link with the so-called commanders who surrendered to the government. In an interview with the BBC, he said there was no association between him and those commanders at all, as they were criminals.
The government had claimed, earlier, that Nawab Akbar Bugti's two commanders along with their 40 accomplices had surrendered and joined the government.
Refuting the government claim, the JWP chief maintained the government's assertion about his link with the commanders was the part of its propaganda.
"The bombing is still continued in Dera Bugti and clashes are also occurring at different sites of the area, "claimed Akbar Bugti while responding to a question.
