Punjab Baitul Maal Minister Chaudhry Ijaz Shafi has said the government is taking steps to develop the livestock sector on modern scientific lines to achieve self-reliance in production of meat and milk.
Addressing the Jashn-e-Baharan at Mela Stadium Jhang, he said "festivals not only depict the tradition and culture of the respective areas but also promote socio-economic activities." District Nazim Sahibzada Sultan Hameed, DCO Rao Fahim Hashim, DPO Hamid Mukhtar Gondal, District Naib Nazim Hassan Ali Qazi, were also present.
