GM Malkani, Chief Executive of Jahangir Siddiqui Capital Markets, has said that upcountry is a very lucrative center for the stock business and he believes he could generate as much as 10 percent additional business only from Lahore.
He was talking to a select group of journalists at a dinner hosted by him at a local hotel on Saturday night to herald the official launching of JS Capital Markets operations from the provincial capital.
"We have over 100 potential clients from Lahore, so now we have decided to provide them our services in their own city," Malkani said, adding, "we believe we are the best and are fully capable to provide best service to our clients even outside Karachi."
About the future plans, he said, JS Capital Markets would soon be launching operations from Islamabad and afterwards from Faisalabad and Peshawar.
"Currently we are looking for a suitable place for the office in Islamabad and hopefully it will start functioning in a three months' period," he pointed out.
To a question, the JS Capital Markets chief executive said: "Total business of Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Faislabad will be equal to that of Karachi, therefore, we believe this potential should be tapped by ensuring transparency and quality service to the clients there."
