Homes for quake survivors in a few months

The earthquake survivors of Mansehra district would be provided safe dwelling before the advent of winter season, Member of National Assembly Sardar Shahjehan Yousuf said on Monday.
"The survivors would be accommodated within a period of next six months," he told PTV. Planning had been finalised to reconstruct basic health units, schools, hospitals and other official buildings in the district, he said.
Provision of better facilities would be ensured to the survivors of earthquake-hit areas. The Prime Minister had already pledged to provide Sui gas facility to the area, he said.
Each union council would be equipped with basic amenities including schools dispensaries, roads, Sui gas and electricity. Gas facility for new Balakot City would also be ensured, he added.
