US Stocks: Wednesday's unofficial close

US stocks rose on Wednesday, led by blue chips, as Boeing Co soared to a record high after China placed a large order for new planes. A rebound in General Motors Corp shares also contributed to the blue chip Dow average's gain after a GM executive said it can sustain its US market share.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 35.46 points, or 0.32 percent, at 11,125.09. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 1.58 points, or 0.12 percent, at 1,288.15. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 5.08 points, or 0.22 percent, at 2,315.43.
