Blast in Karachi, resulting deaths of several innocent persons is the reflection of worst law and order situation in the country, which shows that government has totally failed to fulfil its basic obligation of maintaining law and order in the country, hence it should resign forthwith.
PML-N Central Secretary Finance Mohammad Pervaiz Malik expressed these views while talking to newsmen here on Thursday.
He expressed grave concern and grief on the Karachi incident where leadership of Sunni Tehrik, its workers and members of the general public were killed. He said the height of deterioration of law and order could be gauged from the fact that even the peaceful religious meetings and processions like Eid-Milad-un-Nabi were not safe. The citizens are feeling acute sense of insecurity, he added.
According to him, the government has totally failed to arrest the culprits. It has only restricted itself to the payment of compensation to the dead and injured and thus considers that it has done its job. Pervaiz Malik announced the PML-N and ARD would observe mourning till the culprits of Karachi blast were not arrested and given deterrent punishment.
He said the blast in Karachi was not the result of sectarian feud but act of anti-social elements, and enemies of Pakistan and Islam. It is the clear proof of failure of the government towards maintaining law and order, he added.
