Lahore industrialists concerned over Karachi carnage

The Lahore Township Industries Association (LTIA) has expressed its deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in a terrorist attack on a religious congregation at Nishtar Park, Karachi.
LTIA Chairman Khawaja Shahzad Nasir, Senior Vice-Chairman Khalid Javed Malik and Vice-Chairman Zaheer Bhutta in a statement issued here on Thursday said that anti-state elements wanted to stop the industrial and economic process in the country through such subversive acts.
They said that Karachi always proved as starting point for business activities in the country and committing such a heinous act in the city left negative impact on whole of the country.
They called upon the central and provincial governments to take effective steps for ensuring peace and order in Karachi. They also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of fortitude to the bereaved families.
