PML conventions to be held in big cities: Punjab chief minister

The Pakistan Muslim League (PML) conventions would be held in all major cities of the province where maximum participation of workers would be ensured, and special incentives would be announced for the party workers in the conventions to be held in future.
Punjab PML President and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi stated this while presiding over a meeting regarding reorganisation of the Muslim League here on Saturday.
Punjab Local Government, Rural Development and Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja, Communications & Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din, PML Senior Vice-President and Lahore District Nazim Mian Amir Mahmood, Tourism Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, Revenue Minister Gul Hameed Rokari and PML office-bearers were present on this occasion.
The chief minister said that he would undertake tour of all the districts of the province in connection with the reorganisation of the PML. He also directed the provincial ministers to visit all districts and submit him a report regarding organisation of the party.
According to him, reorganisation of the PML would be completed before the party elections. The PML office-bearers would submit him a report regarding enrolment campaign in their respective districts so that he should have complete information about any district before his visit. The PML committees should now visit other cities of the province to accelerate party's reorganisation process.
He asked the PML office-bearers to pay full attention to reorganisation of the party. The PML enrolment should be genuine and identity card number and complete address should be mentioned in the enrolment form besides full participation of new members in the party activities should be ensured.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also said that all wings of the party would be strengthened. He called upon Punjab Assembly members and Nazims to make joint efforts for the consolidation of PML and new entrants into Muslim League are now a part of the party and they should be given due respect.
He also directed that ongoing developmental projects should be completed expeditiously. He said that the assembly members and party office-bearers should apprise the people of uplift activities undertaken by the government so that they could fully benefit from the fruits of development.
The meeting also offered 'Fateha' for those who had lost their lives in Nishtar Park, Karachi, tragedy.
