The venue of the 29th Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Export Awards ceremony has been shifted to Islamabad.
Earlier, the Export Trophy Awards function was to be held at Governor House, Karachi, on April 19, and President General Pervaiz Musharraf was to be chief guest.
Due to previous engagements of the President in Islamabad, now the FPCCI Exports Trophy Award ceremony will be held in Islamabad. However, the President has not yet given the date for the function. It is expected that around 138 exporters will get export trophy awards this year. However, the list may still be longer.
President of Pakistan export award will go to Umar Mansha of Nishat Mills Limited (Faislabad).
Six gold medals of 'Businessman of the Year' will go to Abdul Qadir Jangda of Bukhari Commercial Exporters (Karachi); Farid Afzal of Bawan Shah Group of Companies (Karachi); Bilal Omar of Bilal Textiles (PVT) Ltd (Faisalabad); Khurram Shahzad of Zafar Fabrics (Pvt)Ltd ((Sargodha); Farid Fazal of DG Khan Cement Co Limited (Lahore); and Hanif S Kalia of Kalia Group (Karachi).
'Best Lady Export Award' will go to Madiha Moulvi of M M Communications (Karachi).
FPCCI will give 40 awards on 'Best Export Performance', 39 special export awards, and 52 export merit awards.
FPCCI is charging Rs 800 per invitation card.
