Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were weak early on Friday amid improved corn planting weather and on a plunge in wheat futures, traders said.
At 10:37 am CDT (1537 GMT), CBOT corn was down 1/4 to 1-3/4 cents per bushel, with May down 1/4 cent at $2.35-1/2 per bushel. New-crop December was down 1/2 cent at $2.69 per bushel. The volume in the corn pit was light and SAK Futures was a noted seller of 100 July, traders said.
