The pre-qualification committee of Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has cleared four out of seven foreign urea suppliers for pre-qualifying after a detailed scrutiny.
According to TCP here on Saturday, with this short listing - the total number of pre-qualified foreign suppliers with the corporation raised to 19.
A total of seven applicants had applied for pre-qualification as foreign urea suppliers against TCP's advertisement of March 28, 2006.
The pre-qualification process is an ongoing exercise being undertaken by the TCP in order to short-list the genuine traders /suppliers.
The committee scrutinised the papers of all the applicants in the light of the criteria laid down for pre-qualification and cleared only those applicants who furnished all the required information.
