Firmness prevailed in the forward cottonseed oilcake market on Tuesday as supply was tight amid good demand, dealers said. The May vaida started on firm note, showing Rs 1.50 gain to Rs 514.50 and that proved to be day's best at the same level.
In the process of trading, it lost Re one to be day's lowest at Rs 413.50 and market settled at the same rate, they added.
The July vaida followed suit and opened at Rs 535.10. During the day, it rose by 40 paisa to be day's highest at Rs 535.50 and. Later, it shed 80 paisa to be day's bottom at Rs 534.70 and closing was seen at the same level, they said.
