The BRIndex30 saw a gain of 171.11, or 1.34 percent, with a high of 12,933.63 and low of 12,568.58 before closing at 12,925.97. The volume amounted to 217,245,800, which was 84.71 percent of the total market, and 92.40 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Shares and KSE-100 were 256,467,900 and 235,157,180, respectively.
BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 1,786.96 with an upward movement of 7.29, or 0.41 percent. The volume of this sector was 9,080,900.
BR Cement Index was the third most active sector of the day with a turnover of 39,342,100. It saw a gain of 14.06 or 0.66 percent, closing at 2,147.67.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 4,140.66 with a net positive change of 104.03 and percentage change of 2.58. The turnover for this sector was 81,442,000.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 970.52 with a gain of 3.75, or 0.39 percent. The turnover for this sector was 4,212,000, which was again the lowest among BRIndices.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the second most active sector with the turnover of 64,896,900. It closed at 2,472.65 with a net positive change of 0.03.
